Opening accounts conditions

 

 

  Current Account

 

-    Valid identification document

-    A minimum amount of JD 500 or its  equivalent in other foreign currencies

-    Customer should be authorized  by the Palestinian Monetary Authority to use
chequing system

-    Individuals should be 18 years old or above.

-    Individuals should present  Registration Certificate or  professional license   

-    Services, general terms and conditions application should be signed

-    Companies should provide the Bank with the legal supporting document (newly  authenticated Company Registration Certificate, the By-Laws, Articles of Association. Whereas other entities and organizations should provide the Bank with the licenses issued by the official competent authorities or as specified by the Bank.

 

 

 

 

 

  Saving Account

 

-    Individuals  should  provide the Bank with a valid identification document

-    The  minimum amount of  JD 200 or its equivalent in USD, ILS, or Euro

-    Customer should be authorized  by the Palestinian Monetary Authority to use
chequing system

-    Services, general terms and conditions application should be signed

-    Individuals  should be 18 years and above, indicating that minors (under 18 years) are allowed to open an account through guardianship, custody or benefit

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Term Deposit Account

 

 

-    Valid identification document for individuals

-    Companies should provide the Bank with the legal  supporting document (newly authenticated Company Registration Certificate,  the By-Laws, Articles of Association. Whereas other entities and organizations should provide the Bank with the licenses issued by the official competent authorities or   as specified by the Bank.

-    Customer should be authorized  by the Palestinian Monetary Authority to use
chequing system

-    Services, general terms and conditions application should be signed

-    Account is opened with a minimum amount of JD 1000, USD 1500, Euro 1500, or ILS 7000.

-    Individuals  should be 18 years and above, indicating that minors (under 18 years) are allowed to open an account through guardianship, custody or benefit

 

 

 

 

 

       Salary Account   

 

-    Valid identification document .

-    An employment letter   .

-    The minimum amount of this kind of accounts is not set, yet such limit shall be
determined as decided by the branch manager
.

-    Customer should be authorized  by the Palestinian Monetary Authority to use
chequing system .

-    Customer should be 18 years and above.

 

Financial Inclusion Account
​  is an account through which the main banking services are provided to meet the needs and requirements of low-income individuals including those who work with the international online platforms. 

 Low-income person: is a natural person who has no any regular working relationship and his/her annual or monthly income average is not more than the maximum limit as provided for in Article 12 below.  
  • Worker with international online platform: is a natural person who performs tasks as freelancer in favor of the international online platform subject to contracts made with these platforms or performs tasks to these platforms against fee.

     When opening the account, please consider the following:
  • Account is opened without being associated with certain terms and conditions such as banking service or product purchase condition;
  • Account is opened without having to incur any commissions or certain charges;
  • ATM card is issued without any issuing or using charges.
  • SMS, Internet banking or Mobile Banking services are freely provided.
​ Accounts of minors managed by mothers
​ The account intended to be opened is limited to current, saving and term deposit accountsز

Authorities of mother are limited to account management

  1. Withdraw and deposit money
  2. Issue ATM with limited powers for only deposit and withdraw purposes.
  3. Issue fixed payment orders
  4. Transfer from mother's account to minor's account 
    The following must be committed:
  • Not to accept any Power of attorney in this regard
  • Not to open a joint account in name of more than one minor
  • Not to open two accounts in name of the same minor with the Bank
  • Not to make balances of the account subject to any insurance or security for any banking facilities or loans or provide cheque book
  • No cheque book for the account will be provided.
